Thanks for taking the time to poke around on the website and find out more about me and what I offer. My approach is unique in that I have spent much of my career outside the therapy room working with people in a broad range of contexts from Milwaukee’s inner city to the comforts of Lake Country.
I am no stranger to hardship. My wife and I have experienced having a still-born baby in 2001 and had 3 more failed pregnancies to follow. This helped usher us into the wonderful world of adoption and foster care – so I have a heart for fertility issues and adoption.
I have been a pastor for 25 years, so I also know the special pressures and stress a position like that can put a person and a family under. But don’t worry . . . I don’t believe in religious debate or shoving beliefs down other people’s throats. But I do believe attending to one’s spiritual life is the most important thing a person can do, so I love to talk about the power of God in a person’s life and how it’s touching (or not touching) all those various facets.
I have had the pleasure of performing dozens of weddings over the years, and also have a special heart for marriage and pre-marriage issues. Marriage is the most important, most difficult and most joy-filled relationship a person can encounter and I love getting the opportunity to help couples experience what marriage is all about.
